Here’s new poster art for the poetry / song “Instead the Pain” from The Poe Underground. This is a quasi-live in the studio version. It’s mostly a promo video where I recorded two parts live in one take and then put it together to look as If I was two different persons.
Instead the Pain is off the album Neptune Dreams of Venus. The poster art was created using AI. I was going for a Pinhead look. Pinhead being a horror movie icon from the 80s.
The poetry for the song is about pain. More specifically it about personal pain and therefore I cannot speak for what others may feel. I do hope as a lyricist and poet that someone out there can relate to the words though unfortunate the path there. I find marrying the words with bluesy music helps to heal, becoming something cathartic.
