I recently uploaded the music video for September Midnight to TikTok. It’s a music video I made out of black and white still images from Flickr. If I was going to make a video for this song, it needed to be good, as the music and words are powerful and beautiful.
September Midnight is a poem by American poet Sara Teasdale. It’s a vivid poem of striking imagery and gorgeous words that dance. The music is a funky and bluesy laid-back groove that compliments the words.
The music video could have been approached from many angles of course. In the end, I feel I made a good choice in choosing beautiful still images from professional and amateur photographers.
The images move and zoom in and out to the rhythm of the music. Pictures that highlight life, beauty, and surrender, appear and flow from one into the next.
I hope you enjoy this music video as much as I do.
